The exhibition presents an overview of the naturalistic painting developed in an artists’ colony at Skagen from the 1870s to the early 20th Century. It comprises 59 works (paintings and works on paper) drawn from the collection of The Art Museums of Skagen, including masterpieces by Michael Ancher, Anna Ancher, P.S. Krøyer and others.
